Performs a variety of assigned maintenance, landscape construction, and repair of golf course turf.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Performs basic gardening including raking, digging, watering, weeding, edging, hedging, pruning, planting and other similar duties.
Applies fertilizer and pesticide to plants, shrubs, trees and grassed areas as directed by Superintendent.
Aerates, rolls, vertical mows, top dress greens, tees, fairways and roughs.
Cleans grounds and landscape areas; removes litter.
Maintains cleanliness of all golf course equipment, trucksters and carts; ensures operating condition and makes minor repairs to equipment as directed.
Performs household duties including sweeping, mopping, cleaning or scrubbing toilets, basins, doors, windows, etc.
Keeps all equipment, tools and supplies stored neatly and orderly.
Complies with the company's recycling program (detailed in SOP).
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, including ability to work in a fast paced environment. Works independently as part of a team, follows instruction, and maintains a professional appearance and positive attitude.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year hands on experience and/or training in landscaping; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, forms and memos. Ability to write legibly and to effectively speak to guests, other company employees and management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously exposed to all outside weather conditions, including humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration; regularly works with soil, is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Employee is frequently required to work with others.
