Hiring 1 Lead Gardener for a small organic permaculture farm in Launiupoko, which is part of a plant-based farm to table operation
Hours are 6:30-12 M-F. 24-30 hours per week. Paycut is week to week.
Primary responsibility of this position is to manage the daily and long-term upkeep of the garden beds. Weeding, planting, pruning, harvesting, irrigation control, record keeping and planning, communicating intentions.
Total crew is 4 people, you will spend most of your time working alone, but will have people to ask for help with certain things/be the extra hands for something random.
Experience is highly preferable. Not looking for someone who just needs a job, but someone who has a demonstrated interest of playing in the garden and will be most of benefit to the team by simply doing what they want and showing off the results they can achieve.
