JOB DESCRIPTION
Departmental Responsibilities:
These responsibilities define the specific expectations of this position but are not meant to be an exhaustive list, but a guide:
- Lead kitchen staff to uphold The Mission's values and culture during service operations.
- Train, supervise, and manage staff, assigning tasks and maintaining service standards.
- Monitor and develop staff skills, enforce company policies, evaluate performance, and provide feedback.
- Assist with interviews and reviews, while making staffing recommendations.
- Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and resolve staff disputes.
- Ensure exceptional service by making informed management decisions.
- Oversee kitchen opening and closing, managing approximately five shifts per week.
- Ensure compliance with operational standards, health regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate service standards and procedures, ensuring adherence to recipes and standards.
- Fulfill manager-specific duties, including scheduling and staff education.
- Coordinate with Head Chef/Chef on Duty regarding kitchen issues and menu updates.
- Manage service flow to maintain efficiency.
- Address guest and volunteer complaints.
- Develop business and accounting skills under General Manager's guidance.
- Perform additional duties as required or requested.
Staff Responsibilities:
These responsibilities define the type of relationship expected from each staff member in relation to the ROLM family and are not limited to a specific ministry area:
- Live out Acts 20:28 keeping watch over yourself, the staff of ROLM, and serving those that God brings to us as a guest
- Actively demonstrate God's love to people. Pray with and for people. Be available to listen and wait on God together.
- family with the staff God has brought to ROLM, holding to Biblical principles of love, care, encouragement, and proper handling of disagreements or disputes by going directly to the person without gossip.
- Authentically disciple people to be seeking and following Jesus actively in their daily lives.
- Relationally lead people to get connected into biblical community in His church so that they can be seeking Jesus, becoming family together and serving others as they live on mission for Christ.
- Actively engage in all staff meetings, staff chapel, and activities as planned.
Personal Responsibilities:
- Pursue any and all responsibilities of living out Colossians 3:23
- Actively maintain an intimate, personal relationship with God
- Remain connected and growing with the Church community as an active participant in a small group and weekend services at a home church.
- Personal discipleship of others.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected Hours: 40 per week
