This job is for candidates interested in working in the education field or for a non-profit organization. This is a full time position, from the hours of 9am - 6pm. This position requires some travel between two schools.
The full-time Program Specialist, under the direction of the Program Team, is responsible for the daily operation of two after-school program, including, but not limited to, personnel and general program operation:
- Coordinate and monitor program activities to ensure quality programming
- Maintain a clear and consistent line of communication with program staff, school administration and parents and maintain professional and positive relations with all
- Develop schedules that incorporate student interests, required curricula and timeframes and ensure their accurate implementation
- Monitor student behavior during program hours and utilize appropriate discipline measures as necessary
- Ensure attendance and grade data is entered on a regular basis to the organization’s database
- Complete all required reports and submit them by the due date
- Attend professional development activities and meetings
- Respond to inquiries from parents and students regarding program offerings, attendance and registration procedures
- Visits classrooms, review performance of Program Leaders and provide suggestions, demonstrations and assistance for improvement, as needed
- Some travel is required between two schools, so reliable transport is required.
