Recovery Skills Specialist (2 Positions Available)
Location: Hale Ulu Pono Facility – Kapolei, O‘ahu

Pay Range: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour (based on education and experience)

About the Position
We are currently seeking two (2) full-time Recovery Skills Specialists to join our team at the Hale Ulu Pono facility in Kapolei. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about helping others achieve independence and stability through person-centered, trauma-informed care.

Key Responsibilities
Direct Support & Life Skills Training
Provide individualized training in areas such as meal preparation, money management, housekeeping, budgeting, personal hygiene, communication, anger management, and health and safety.
Assist consumers in developing skills that promote independence and community integration.
Case Management
Coordinate and facilitate access to community resources including housing, education, employment, recreation, healthcare, and transportation.
Collaborate closely with AMHD, CCS, and CBCM agencies to promote client stability.
Provide crisis intervention and coordinate appropriate emergency services.
Administrative & Documentation
Complete tenant applications, eligibility determinations, and income verifications.
Conduct functional assessments and develop individualized Residential Service Plans.
Maintain accurate and timely progress notes, reports, and standardized program forms.
Participate in training, workshops, and educational opportunities to enhance professional skills.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Associate degree (preferred) in Social Sciences, Human Services, or related field.
High school diploma or equivalent with related work experience will be considered.
Experience:
o At least one (1) year of experience in behavioral health support services preferred.
o At least one (1) year of direct case management experience preferred.
Other Requirements:
o Valid Hawai‘i driver’s license and clean abstract (no more than 3 violations in the past 3 years).
o Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
o Access to a personal vehicle with current registration, safety check, and insurance.
o Availability for on-call support after hours when needed.
