Compensation: 55K – 65K Salary (DOE) + Bonuses

FLSA Status: Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY

The Staffing Manager position provides recruiting, customer service and sales on the island of Maui for HiEmployment. It is the link between the employees hired, clients serviced and the HiEmployment corporate office.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Placement activities: Select well-matched candidates to fulfill client job orders and maintain on-going contact with client companies and temporary professionals currently on assignment to ensure both receive exceptional customer service; resolve any customer service issues quickly and efficiently to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction; additional opportunities through contact with temporary professionals on assignment and client companies to grow our business and uncover job opportunities for our candidates.

Candidate recruitment and retention: This person will also be assisting with recruiting employees and new hire paperwork. That involves completing a new hire checklist and reviewing documents for accuracy and completion. This position also requires data entry of new hire packets into employee databases, performing background checks, performing drug tests and assisting in hiring sessions. The position will also be phone screening applicants and conducting initial interviews with potential candidates.

HR responsibilities: The position will include interviewing for insurance claims, harassment, discrimination, employee HR issues and provide the information to management for review. It will require traveling to and from client locations to do site visits, employee meals, employee parties, site specific recruiting, interviews, client meetings and employee trainings.

Business development: Develop and grow your own client base by marketing our services for temporary and/or temporary-to- full-time staffing solutions; market to clients via telephone as well as conduct in-person meetings with key managers to senior-level executives, for the purpose of marketing our services to prospective clients and building on existing client relationships; participate in local trade association and networking events to increase HiEmployment's presence in the local business community.

Other responsibilities: The Staffing Manager is primarily responsible for, answering incoming calls, answering employee related questions, making outbound calls to employees, scheduling employee interviews, scheduling employees to report to client locations and additional clerical duties as assigned.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

The ideal Staffing Manager has been successful in a position with similar responsibilities. This person will meet most or all of the following requirements:

One or more years of directly related experience or 3+ years in the retail or hospitality industry.

Education in a relevant business field

Greet guests in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner

Excellent phone etiquette

Show true passion about servicing our clients and employees on a daily basis

Proficient with electronic switchboards, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HRIS experience

Extreme attention to detail

The ability to communicate with people from a culturally diverse background

The ability to multi task many different tasks at once

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS

Exceptional client management and communication skills.

Proven people and team management experience.

Strong analytical background and knowledge of statistical analysis methods.

Positive, self-starter attitude and desire to exceed expectations at every opportunity.

Strong attention to details, highly organized, and focused on work quality.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Must have their own reliable transportation as some client locations are not bus accessible

Must be willing to help employees with their career paths

Must be able to deliver exceptional service tour clients and employees

SCHEDULE

This position will be primarily working from a client office in Wailuku, Maui and occasionally from home. Occasional evening and weekend work is required. This person is required to keep a business cell phone on their person 24/7 to answer inquiries that may arise.

Computer Skills

Proficient in MS Office preferred.

Other Requirements

Prior experience working for a human resource administration or recruiting firm is a plus.
