Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Residence Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential property. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of property management, ensuring that our community is well-maintained and residents are satisfied. This role requires effective communication, conflict management, and the ability to negotiate with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of property operations, including facilities management and property maintenance.
Handle resident relations by addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and ensuring a positive living environment.
Utilize AppFolio software for efficient file management and record-keeping of resident information and property details.
Attend all board and committee meetings, offering management reports and advice on the physical plant and administration of the community. Keep records of board and committee meetings.
Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance requirements.
Maintains accurate records of community activities such as, Incident Reports and Citations
Collaborate with maintenance staff to coordinate repairs and upkeep of facilities.
Maintain professional phone etiquette while handling inquiries from residents and vendors/contractors.
Schedule and oversee contract service work.
Ensures execution of projects by providing timely direction and communication to vendors/contractors.
Qualifications
Has work experience as a Resident Manager
Proven experience in property management or a related field is preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
Strong skills in conflict management and negotiation to handle resident issues effectively.
Familiarity with facilities management practices and property maintenance procedures.
Proficient in using property management software, particularly AppFolio.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for effective file management.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the property.
Ability to stand and climb steps regularly.
Reading and writing work-related documents in English, reviewing financial reports and understanding basic accounting.
