Assistant Store Manager - Okoa Farms, Kula Malu Center

Do you love eating fresh, locally grown foods? Do you have a passion for local agriculture? Oko’a Farms Store in Pukalani is seeking an Assistant Store Manager who will contribute to creating an exceptional shopping experience for our customers while working in a dynamic team environment!

Our days consist of receiving and stocking 1–2 pallets of deliciousness daily while maintaining freshness and delivering exceptional, knowledgeable customer service. Pretty plain and simple.

Our Assistant Store Managers lead and develop our team members through role modeling, direction, and support. We expect our Assistant Store Managers to:

Support Daily Operations: Assist in overseeing store tasks and staff coordination.

Staff Supervision: Train and manage employees, assigning tasks for efficient workflow.

Customer Service: Help resolve customer issues and ensure a great shopping experience, run the registers, and bag groceries.

Inventory Assistance: Help with stock organization and restocking efforts.

Sales Support: Assist with merchandising and creating attractive product displays.

Team Communication: Facilitate communication between staff and the store manager.

Operational Tasks: Assist with problem-solving and enforcing policies.

Problem-Solving: Handle customer complaints, staff issues, and operational challenges.

Learning and Development: Support training and development initiatives.

Order Fulfillment: Support order preparation and packaging.

Skills & Abilities:

Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.

Team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Adaptability and the ability to learn quickly.

Passion for fresh produce, food preparation, and customer service.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50-60 pounds for extended periods.

Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions (e.g., cold storage areas).

Medical/dental benefits, employee discount, and starting wage of $25/hr. with potentially more depending on experience. Full Time.

Minimum of 2 yrs. Supervisory/Retail Management required, passion for locally grown produce a must!
