Local retail/wholesale flooring company is looking to fill a part-time position to handle inside sales for walk-in and call-in customers. Will also be crosstrained to assist the owner with related marketing and clerical tasks. We are a well-respected company that is also a licensed contractor and we have been in business for many years. Our systems and procedures are in place but we always appreciate a smart team player who can step in and adapt well. College students or retirees are welcome but must be computer-literate. Compensation will vary with education and experience, and we are willing to train the right individual. Even more compensation for someone with an accounting degree or background.
Duties include:
working 9am to 5pm Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and 9am to 1pm one Saturday per month
answering phone and taking messages
greeting customers
help call-in and walk-in customers by showing products, providing product info, pricing and availability
write up quotes and orders in QuickBooks
setting up installation estimate appointments for the owner
communication with warehouse staff and installation crews
follow up with customer leads and also conduct phone call, mail and email campaigns
help keep showroom clean and updated
must be able to lift 50 lbs
filing, faxing, and other miscellaneous tasks office tasks
communicating with vendors, ordering product, arranging shipping, making vendor payments
requires a personal cell phone which company will subsidize in exchange for texting/calling you on that line

We will provide extensive product training but knowledge of MS Office Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint is required and knowledge of QuickBooks is helpful.
