Narrative of Duties:
Assist in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of heavy equipment including loaders, excavators, haul trucks, crushers, concrete mixers, and other plant machinery.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and equipment cleaning.
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues with guidance from senior mechanics.
Maintain accurate service and repair records.
Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Assist with equipment setup, adjustments, and calibration as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop and work areas.
Support production operations by responding promptly to equipment breakdowns
Qualifications Required
High school diploma or GED required.
Technical school training in diesel mechanics, heavy equipment maintenance, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Basic knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Ability to use hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to follow directions.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor environments (heat, dust, rain).
Valid Hawaii driver’s license
