Job Summary:
As a Heavy Equipment Operator at PB Sullivan, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a variety of heavy machinery and equipment, including dozers, excavators, loaders, and more. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring our construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate and maintain heavy equipment to perform various construction tasks, such as excavation, grading, loading, and earthmoving.
Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and job specifications.
Collaborate with the construction team to plan and execute projects effectively.
Conduct routine equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure proper functionality.
Adhere to safety protocols, guidelines, and best practices to prevent accidents and injuries.
Monitor equipment performance and make necessary adjustments.
Maintain accurate records of equipment operation, maintenance, and fuel consumption.
Assist in the transportation and set-up of equipment at job sites.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator in the construction industry.
Proficiency in the safe operation of various heavy machinery and equipment.
Ability to read and understand construction plans, blueprints, and job specifications.
Strong attention to detail, safety consciousness, and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Physical fitness to perform tasks and lift heavy objects.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.
Knowledge of basic equipment maintenance procedures.
