Elitech Systems is hiring for a Jr. Telecommunications Technician. The Jr. Technician will receive tasking from the Senior Technician they are working alongside. The Jr. technician will be able to install cable pathways, and various cable that includes but is not limited to Cat 5, Cat 6, Copper, Single-Mode Fiber, and Multi-Mode Fiber cabling. Cable installation includes placement, termination, labeling, and documentation.

Requirements:
- Assists with on-site pre-task surveys to determine project timeline and scope.
- Installs, tests, and documents cabling in support of tasks as identified in the provided Installation Design Plan.
- As necessary, interface with all customer representatives in a professional manner.
- Establishes CCTV, access control, and data networks by running, pulling, terminating, and splicing copper cables
- Mounts telecommunications equipment, routers, switches, servers, cable trays, and security systems; installation of racks and cabinets all while following industry standards, best practices, and manufacturer requirements.
- Install cable pathway systems (cable trays, cable racks, J-hooks, or D-rings) by using power or manual fasteners, drills, or other power equipment.
- Documents network by labeling and routing equipment and cables; recording configuration diagrams and specifications.
- Maintains a safe work environment by following codes, standards, and legal requirements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Ability to pass a felony, federal, and misdemeanor background check. This may occur at the time of employment, upon request after employment, or as needed/requested or required for being dispatched to a job site.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of Elitech Systems
- To perform this position successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software. Must have a good understanding of essential PC / Laptop use. Familiar with Outlook mail, Excel, Word, and downloading/uploading files.
- This position requires the ability to comfortably work with various hand tools.
- The employee must possess a valid Driver’s License and must always have and maintain an acceptable driving record.
- Employees must complete all Company-required training courses which include compliance training, safety (OSHA) training, and others.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to climb ladders, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, crawl, work in small places such as crawl spaces and closets, and lift and carry heavy loads – (up to 75 lbs.). Sit / Stand for extended periods, drive for extended periods. Work both indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
