Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated native or fluent Spanish-speaking Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that fosters the intellectual, social, and emotional development of students. This role requires a commitment to promoting literacy education and childhood development while utilizing effective teaching strategies tailored to meet the diverse needs of students. This position is with students ages 3 to 10 years old. The schedule is Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30am-11:30am, plus one prep hour per day worked.
Duties
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
Foster a positive classroom environment conducive to learning through effective classroom management techniques.
Incorporate Montessori principles into teaching practices to enhance student engagement and independence, preferred.
Collaborate with colleagues, and administration to support student success and address any concerns.
Maintain accurate records of student performance and behavior.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; teaching certification preferred.
Experience in classroom teaching, tutoring, or mentoring is highly desirable.
Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in education.
Strong written communication skills for lesson planning and reporting on student progress.
Familiarity with Montessori methods is a plus but not required.
Ability to create an inclusive environment that accommodates diverse learning styles.
Commitment to continuous professional development in educational practices.
