Marketing & PR Assistant (Mostly remote)

This part-time contract position (12 hours per week) is open to US candidates only, applicants in the Boise, Idaho region are strongly encouraged to apply. This is a good position for anyone who is looking to gain more experience in marketing and PR, but who doesn't have full-time availability. As a contractor, you must have your own computer, video camera, microphone, etc. You must be available to meet during regular business hours. Local candidates will occasionally meet in-person for planning sessions.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented assistant to support our marketing and PR team in various administrative tasks. The hired contractor will possess strong computer skills, great written and oral skills, and be proactive in work and problem-solving.

Must have experience working with Office 365 as well as Google. We will provide you an Office 365 account. As a contractor, you will provide your own computer.

Duties include but aren't limited to:

-Provide administrative support including document creation, electronic filing, managing Coveragebook reports, creating weekly client summaries, etc.

-Monitor Qwoted opportunities when PR team is unavailable to do so (on vacation, out sick, etc.)

-Use Muck Rack to build media lists

-Use Microsoft Office/Google for document creation, editing, and proofreading

-Coordinate schedules and meetings, ensuring timely communication with clients, contractors, and team members

-Monitor metrics and update reports

-Create LinkedIn and Instagram posts; engage with responses and other accounts appropriately.

-Assist with business development proposals

-Assist with online course set-up and marketing

-Assist with blog content set-up

-Use Canva to create graphics for blog and social posts

Experience

-Proven experience in an administrative or clerical role

-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google applications

-Ability to learn new tools quickly

-Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks

-Excellent typing skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and documentation

-Previous experience in a marketing or PR agency is a plus but not required

-Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with the team
