The QPS Nurse Reviewer and Clinical Specialist will actively advise and educate associates and the Medical Staff to improve practice habits and documentation to create a safe environment for the patients of Catholic Health. The QPS Nurse Reviewer and Clinical Specialist is also responsible for chart review for the following indicators: Peer Review, Regulatory Events, Complications, Occurrence reports, and other identified studies.Responsibilities:EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare related field required; Master's Preferred
NYS License as required to practice in a healthcare field (i.e. Nursing)
EXPERIENCE
Three (3) years clinical experience
One (1) Quality & Patient Safety/Performance Improvement experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must possess strong interpersonal skills necessary to work with medical staff, care management, patient care services, ancillary and support departments
National Patient Safety initiatives and Safety Goals (e.g. JC NPSG's, IHI, Leapfrog etc)
Exposure to sepsis and infection prevention indicators
Strong Organizational and time management skills
Strong leadership skills
