Matthew Hunniford & Co. is searching for a dedicated and enthusiastic staff accountant. The ideal candidate should have an associates or bachelors degree in accounting, exceptional communication skills, and strong multi-tasking skills. Prior experience in public accounting with tax experience is preferred. Candidates should have a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Quickbooks. Experience with Thomson Reuters software is a plus.
This is an on-site position and is full time with overtime during tax season. Outside of tax season office hours are generally Monday - Thursday.

Responsibilities:
- Manage client projects, due dates, and workflow.
- Preparation of compiled financial statements, including account reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger review.
- Maintain depreciation schedules.
- Preparation of sales and payroll tax returns.
- Preparation of corporation, partnership, and personal income tax returns.
- Maintain strong client relationships.
