Partnering with the Corporate Controller, CFO, and other leaders within the CFO Office, this new leader will have the opportunity to work with a talented group of professionals as we charge forward into our next phase of growth and value creation.ResponsibilitiesThe Accounting Director will build on a solid base of internal and external financial professionals in the establishment of a world-class global accounting function. Following a major acquisition in 2023, Aeris has doubled its size and expanded into seven new foreign subsidiaries around the world. You have a deep understanding of and can manage the transition and steps from small, private company to public SEC-reporting organization
You develop teams and have the ability to think strategically about organizational growth while also recruiting and retaining top talent within the organization
You have deep technical accounting skills coupled with the ability to translate to and from business stakeholders in support of continuity and relevance of financial statement preparation
You're not afraid or reluctant to roll up your sleeves and work, but you also recognize the need to teach, train and delegate
Requirements
Excellent critical thinking and analysis
Interest in and aptitude for a wide range of technology disciplines
Excellent written and oral communication skills Active CPA license
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Big-4 or other large, multi-national firm
Broad experience with private and public company financial statement preparation
Depth of experience in business process engineering, process automation, and internal controls
