Description Robert Half is partnering with highly esteemed family law firm seeking a Legal Assistant to join their team!Responsibilities:
Scheduling initial consultations with potential clients following preliminary intake from our virtual receptionist.
Efficient management and organization of case files, including opening and closing files.
Drafting, prooing, and filing legal pleadings including, but not limited to, petitions, motions, responses, and counter-petitions.
Docket court calls, deadlines, and appointments on attorney calendars.
Regular communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to schedule meetings, depositions, hearings, and prove ups.
Assisting attorneys in preparing for court appearances, hearings and trials.
Preparing client financial disclosure statements and discovery responses.
Requirements
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years of legal assistant experience (with a focus on family law).
Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and highly organized.
Familiarity with the legal process, court proceedings and legal documentation.
