Role Type: W2 Contract to HireStatus: U.S. Citizen, Green Card HolderNote: We are unable to partner on a corp-to-corp (C2C) basisTerm: 3 to 6 months, convert to full-timeStart Date: ImmediateHourly Rate: Up to $75/hr.Location Requirement: Local to the Chicago area What You’ll Do As a non-exempt/hourly employee at Burwood, the Hybrid Infrastructure Consultant will collaborate with a team of Burwood & client engineers, as well as client leadership, to ensure successful project outcomes and support the client’s internal initiatives.In this role, the Hybrid Infrastructure Consultant will have the following responsibilities:Project Contributions:Participate and contribute to complex technical projectsAdhere to project plans, provide updates, and communicate issues effectivelyFunction as an extension of the client’s infrastructure engineering team, as well as a trusted advisor representing BurwoodKey Technical Skills:Windows Server AdministrationActive DirectoryGPO – Create/Edit/TestDHCP/DNSDFSServer Troubleshooting & OptimizationVMware AdministrationESXi/vSphere ManagementVM troubleshooting (storage, networking, etc.)Deploy/Maintain ESX environmentsHost Configuration & TroubleshootingStorage AdministrationvSANWindows Storage, including DFSSAN/NAS, General Storage Administration/Maintenance/Troubleshooting/PlanningAssist in the architecture and solutioning of projects that include in-scope technologiesGeneral Requirements:Flexible working hours, including nights and weekendsExperience working in highly regulated industriesITIL Change Management best practicesPrior experience working across multiple groups and departments to achieve shared goalsTravel requirements: nice to have, not required for this roleCertification in relevant technologies (e.g., VMware, Windows) is preferredExcellent communication skills
