M&A Security Analyst

Description We are seeking a M& A IT Security Specialist to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. This role involves assessing cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities, conducting risk assessments, and developing procedures for maintaining security standards across our operations. This is a contract to hire employment opportunity. Responsibilities: Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments for potential acquisitions Evaluate security infrastructure and identify necessary remediations to ensure compliance Engage in pre-acquisition security due diligence in accordance with our established processes and risk assessment standards Address a wide range of security vulnerabilities including network and application concerns, phishing, and ransomware threats Maintain, monitor, and improve existing security measures to protect against unauthorized access Utilize technical expertise to manage and configure firewall and cloud technologies Liaise with various stakeholders to discuss and resolve security issues Utilize excellent written and verbal communication skills to document and report on security measures and any breaches Employ a proactive approach to identify potential security threats and respond accordingly Independently manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.Requirements A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst or similar role Familiarity with M& A processes and cybersecurity considerations surrounding acquisitions In-depth knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and cybersecurity frameworks Proficient in identifying security risks and precautions both in software, hardware, and other services Experience in creating and maintaining Technical Documentation Must have the legal right to work in the country of employment without requiring sponsorship now or in the future Must be able to pass a background check Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English A positive, professional demeanor and the ability to work well in a team environment Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detailTechnology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
