This high-visibility role offers direct exposure to senior management and cross-functional collaboration across the organization. We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is based in New York or Chicago but considered hybrid and given the flexibility to work remote. You will report to the Senior Director, Investor Relations. What the day will look like You will play a critical role in supporting the execution of Aon’s IR strategy. This role will focus on analyzing financial, industry, and competitive trends to inform internal decision-making and external investor communications. You will be responsible for providing actionable insights and analysis to ensure transparent, accurate, and strategic messaging regarding Aon’s financial performance, guidance and outlook.

Lead or assist in all aspects of the quarterly earnings process

Develop and maintain a detailed external financial model to serve as the basis for investor communications

Create financial projections and scenario analyses to support guidance and investor narrative

Assess performance against guidance and market expectations to anticipate reactions and key questions

Analyze financial reporting changes and anticipate investor reactions

Work closely with the sell-side to ensure Aon’s results, guidance and outlook are accurately understood, including tracking and reviewing analyst models and consensus estimates

Leverage advanced modeling techniques to analyze the drivers of valuation

Monitor and analyze macro/market trends, peer performance, and industry developments that may impact investor sentiment/stock performance

Evaluate and summarize sell-side reports, conference/event presentations and transcripts and earnings materials of Aon’s peers and provide insights to management

Analyze and report on shareholder activity, trends and opportunities

Support all aspects of investor engagement, including targeting, outreach and organizing conferences, non-deal roadshows and other events

Assist with regular communication with investors, analysts, and the media to provide accurate information regarding Aon’s strategy, results, guidance and outlook

Perform benchmarking reviews of all aspects of investor communications and provide findings and recommendations

Manage other projects/activities as required

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, MBA or CFA is preferred

7+ years of proven experience in investor relations, finance, investment banking, equity research, or related fields

Exceptional financial modeling and analytics capabilities, including financial modeling techniques used by buy-side and sell-side analysts

Strong ability to balance attention to detail and accuracy with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships across all levels of the organization

Executive presence with ability to engage confidently with senior management, investors, and key stakeholders

Intellectual curiosity and continuous improvement mindset

Expert proficiency in financial research tools such as FactSet, Bloomberg, CapIQ, etc.

Pay Transparency Laws

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $120,000 - $160,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Chicago, Illinois The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
