Software Development Manager

Description We are seeking a Software Development Manager to lead our client's team in creating innovative software solutions. Your primary role will consist of collaborating with the development team, formulating project timelines, strategies, and budget plans. This position requires not only a wide-ranging software development and systems knowledge base but also demonstrated management abilities.Responsibilities:

Lead a team of software developers by providing direction, goals, and feedback.

Develop, analyze, and manage project plans and schedules.

Assist in estimating, planning and delivering end-to-end software solutions.

Oversee and guide design, coding, testing and debugging processes.

Manage and optimize the flow of value through the Agile Program and Solution Kanban.

Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges.

Collaborate with other department managers to define and prioritize software requirements and scope.

Identify potential risks and develop contingencies, mitigate the risks applicable to software development processes.

Encourage and facilitate continual innovation of the program and team.

Review and approve proposed development releases.

Requirements

BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field; or equivalent work experience.

Proven experience as a Software Development Manager or in a similar managerial role.

Solid background in software development processes and Agile methodologies.

Proficient knowledge of programming languages, databases, and software development tools.

Strong understanding of project management methodologies and practices.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong leadership and decision-making skills.

Proven ability to deliver high-quality software in a timely manner.

Experience with cloud computing, preferably AWS, is an advantage.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically.
