They are involved at every stage of the process - developing, building, owning, and operating.Position OverviewAs an International Accountant, you will uphold the accounting and reporting of several of the company's affiliate companies, ensuring the prompt and precise incorporation of results into consolidated financial statements. Collaborating with local accountant teams, you'll assess monthly activities, schedule periodic capital funding, and transfigure data from local reporting mandates to US GAAP. This role primarily liaises with Latin and South American countries but is not limited to these regions.ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities will include upholding relationships with international third-party accounting providers, analyzing financial data pertaining to affiliates, and promoting process enhancements. You'll also map out local trial balances to the consolidated ledger, participate in the funding of international entities, and conduct reconciliations. Your role will extend to vigorous auditing, analyzing intercompany relationships, and establishing a control environment concerning the relevant international entities.Requirements Basic QualificationsA Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in accounting, finance, or a related field is necessary, along with at least 2 years of accounting experience. Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office products, fluent Spanish, and eligibility to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship are also prerequisites.Preferred SkillsInternational accounting experience and work with Third Party Accounting Providers are desired. Prior experience in a multi-site organization or public accounting firm, experience within power utilities, and familiarity with Oracle are advantageous, but not required.
