If you have a passion for rallying together to solve complex challenges, then come join our dynamic FSO team!The OpportunityAs a Tax Technology and Transformation Manager, you will manage, deliver and implement a wide array of tax technology solutions and process enhancements aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our client's tax operations. You will be responsible for leading various projects that involve integrating tax and financial systems, implementing tax software tools, and developing automated processes for tax-related tasks.Your Key Responsibilities
Manage large-scale managed services programs and/or tax transformation projects specifically for our Fiduciary Trust Tax and Private Tax portal
Manage digital tax transformation projects
Oversee tax technology strategy and road mapping
Lead implementation and configuration of direct and indirect tax systems
Review tax analytics and reporting and advise enhancements
Advise tax operating model transformation
Oversee development and deployment of custom tax systems
Manage projects in a demanding, time-sensitive environment and deliver high-quality solutions using cross-functional teams and remote resources
Confirm projects have the proper scope, cost and delivery schedules.
Work on identifying ways to improve operational effectiveness in tax functions, reviewing the process and controls that are in place, including technology, looking at the effectiveness of the various technology systems our tax clients use to increase automation and data quality throughout tax processes, assessing the overall risk to establish a proper control environment, and designing and building custom tax applications.
Enhance the effectiveness of the tax strategy and approach for all engagements while developing strong relationships across a network of existing and future clients and key stakeholders.
Understand key tax processes, technology, data, analytics, and risks/controls to mitigate risk and enhance quality
Skills and attributes for success
Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and monitoring them until completion, including documenting requirements, configuration, testing, debugging, project profitability, and tax systems and process configuration
Identifying ways to automate manual tasks using existing financial or tax systems and emerging technologies
Understanding of conducting dependency analyses across an integrated work plan containing multiple work streams or projects
Embedding tax requirements into financial/business systems and processes (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, PAM, Investran)
Developing test cases and debugging code in existing systems
Producing clean, efficient code based on specifications
To Qualify
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Economics and/or a master’s degree in Accounting, Tax Technology, Management Information Systems, or Computer Science or related field
A minimum of five years of relevant work experience or a master’s degree and approximately two to three years of relevant work experience
You are required to have one of the following certifications: CPA, JD, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt and/or Project Management Professional “PMP”; master’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering
Exposure to the financial services industry, accounting/finance/tax, tax or finance performance improvement, tax software development and/or implementation
Ideally you will also have
Experience in project management
Strong leadership ability, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, analytical abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to coordinate with functions outside of Tax
Demonstrated proactive ability to team with and motivate others and a willingness to develop meaningful and influential relationships with clients and colleagues
Knowledge in implementing tax technology solutions (e.g., CorpTax, ONESOURCE, Sabrix, Vertex, SharePoint, PFI, RPA software)
Developing and implementing custom applications (e.g., Visual Studio, VBA/VSTO, SQL Server, MS PowerBI Suite)
Experience using MS Project and/or other project management tools
ERP experience, including SAP and/or Oracle
SharePoint development

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $111,800 to $205,100. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $134,200 to $233,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
