Overview:
Opry Provisions seeks a skilled and experienced Barista & Customer Associate to join our boutique bottle shop & coffee roastery.
Cafe Operations:
Oversee and ensure the smooth functioning of the cafe, inventory, supplies and storefront areas.
In-store coffee sales
Package online orders for pickup
In-store liquor and beverage sales
Track liquor and coffee inventory
Drink Preparation:
Responsible for cafe prep, including coffee brewing, cleaning, making garnishes, batching and storage efficiency.
Utilize espresso machine and coffee maker to make coffee drinks.
Create new menu items in consultation with ownership.
Maintain purchase orders, and update POS
Inventory and Supply Management
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
Ensure proper storage and handling of all bar supplies and ingredients.
Cleanliness and Organization
Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organization of the cafe.
Implement and uphold hygiene and safety standards in accordance with health regulations.
Guest Satisfaction:
Provide excellent customer service, ensuring guest satisfaction.
Address customer queries efficiently and professionally.
Cash and Payment Handling
Responsible for accurate cash handling and processing payments.
Ensure all transactions are completed according to company policies.
Product Knowledge:
Stay informed and comfortable with all products available in-house, including whole bean coffees, coffee drinks, wines, spirits, and beers in the bottle shop.
Educate and advise customers on selections, fostering a knowledgeable and engaging environment.
Team:
Fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
Participate in staff training sessions to ensure team proficiency in product knowledge and service standards.
Qualifications:
At least 1 years of experience working in a cafe and/or as a barista
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational abilities.
Knowledgeable in artisanal drink creation, specialty coffee, wine, spirits, and beer.
Ability to work flexible hours.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to work on one’s feet for several hours consecutively.
