Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen operation, maintaining food quality and safety standards, managing kitchen staff, controlling inventory, and contributing to a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate all kitchen staff, ensuring high performance and efficiency.
Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, presentation, and safety.
Oversee kitchen cleanliness and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Schedule and manage kitchen shifts, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff.
Monitor inventory levels and order food, supplies, and equipment as needed.
Manage food cost, portion control, and waste to meet budget goals.
Handle kitchen-related administrative duties, including payroll, reports, and supplier relations.
Foster a positive, team-oriented atmosphere that encourages staff development and retention.
Address and resolve kitchen-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or similar role.
In-depth knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation standards.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
Familiarity with inventory management and kitchen software systems is a plus.
Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Food Handler’s Certification (or equivalent) required.
