Southport Betty’s is currently hiring line cooks and lead line cooks to be a part of an opening team.
We are looking for an ambitious candidate who work fry station, flat top, and convection oven in a fast paced environment. Knife skills are also required.
In addition, you will perform routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients, so that food can be prepared according to recipes.

The kitchen services a 250 person sports bar, so expect it to be busy. Opportunities are plenty for those that are hungry.
This position is tipped based upon what customers tip on their food. The more food that is sold, the better the tips and more money everyone on the line will make.

$24 per hour
Responsibilities:
Cut and prepare food items for service
Follow the prep list to ensure operations are ready for the following day
Label and restock all ingredients in the line so they can be organized and easily accessible
Be able to multitask on the line and keep multiple tickets going at the same time.
Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by keeping surfaces clean, proactively washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines

Required Skills:
Move at a rapid pace for a prolonged period of time
At least 1 year proven experience as line cook or prep cook
Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
Food handlers card
Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
A team player with good communication skills
