Job Title: Hiring Recruiter – Trucking Company
Location: Schaumburg, IL
Job Overview:
As a Hiring Recruiter at CB FREIGHT you will be responsible for sourcing, recruiting, and hiring qualified drivers, mechanics, and other operational staff to support our growing fleet. You will collaborate closely with management to identify hiring needs and develop effective recruitment strategies. This is a critical role in ensuring our team continues to deliver exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Source, recruit, and interview candidates for a variety of positions within the company, including truck drivers, dispatchers, and mechanics.
Post job openings on various job boards, social media, and industry-specific platforms.
Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for future hiring needs.
Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate second interviews with department managers.
Ensure all hiring processes are compliant with federal and state regulations, particularly DOT and FMCSA regulations.
Work closely with HR and Operations teams to understand staffing needs and prioritize recruitment efforts.
Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events to promote the company and attract top talent.
Manage and track candidate data in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
Negotiate job offers and assist with onboarding new hires.
Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in recruiting, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
Strong understanding of recruitment processes and best practices.
Familiarity with DOT and FMCSA regulations as they relate to truck drivers and other industry-specific positions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented and organized.
Proficient in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.
