The Fulfillment & Kitting Team Lead will be responsible for planning, directing, and shipping high volume and daily kitting operations. This position will involve communicating with the Production Manager, Project Managers, and Warehouse Manager on daily requirements.
This is a temp position lasting through December. The right candidate will be offered a full-time supervisory position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise tasks that include assembly, packaging, fulfillment duties, shipping, receiving, mailing, or other work groups as assigned.
Perform handwork functions, kit building, order fulfillment, and shrink wrapping daily while supervising team members.
Ability to effectively communicate with team-members and follow the instructions on job tickets.
Process lists to bulk ship USPS, UPS, and FedEx.
Provide recommendations, pricing, and guidelines for shipping and mailing.
Meet established deadlines.
Work quickly to resolve problems as needed.
Establish production requirements and track time used for each function/job.
Ensure staff members meet production requirements.
Ensure quality of work and recommend processes changes as needed.
Effectively manage employee time to effectively use temp and full-time labor.
Train and evaluate personnel.
Order and manage supplies for all packing materials.
Requirements:
Fulfillment Experience: 3 years (Minimum)
Previous pick and pack experience in a fast face environment
Previous shipping experience
High School or equivalent
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced and collaborative environment and execute operational changes quickly.
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Knowledge of USPS software, UPS Worldship, and FedEx Ship Manager
Proficient knowledge of international shipping requirements
Supervising Experience: 2 years a plus
