Giesecke+Devrient is a growing, German international security technology company operating in the fields of digital security, financial platforms, and currency technology. Our Mega Site located in Bolingbrook Illinois is a state-of-the art, clean, air conditioned facility running three shifts.
Job Summary:
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on all card personalization and fulfillment equipment. Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on all factory support equipment. This position will report to the Maintenance Manager. First shift runs from 5:30 am - 1:30 pm and third shift runs 11 pm -7 am Monday through Friday.
Job Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and repair all card personalization and fulfillment equipment.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose malfunctions in electronic equipment, perform tests, and follow technical manuals to ensure proper functioning.
Fabricate replacement parts when necessary.
Perform preventative maintenance on all card personalization / fulfillment equipment and support equipment.
Work with machine operator to identify and resolve issues with setup and job files.
Work with IT to identify and resolve machine communications related issues.
Implement programs to increase OEE. Utilize KPI's to improve equipment uptime and decrease downtime.
Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of repairs, tests and inspections, and document processes for future reference.
Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of process controls.
Job Specifications:
Must physically be able to bend, stretch, and stoop, but not limited to only these physical activities.
Requires lifting of 40 lbs. or more without aid.
Requires normal hand, eye and walking coordination.
Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Completion of Electro/Mechanical Course from a recognized Technical Institute is preferred.
3-5 years of experience in general maintenance (multimeters, soldering stations, precision screwdrivers, rotary tools).
Required Skills & Knowledge:
Requires a strong working knowledge of electronics and pneumatic systems.
Must possess the ability to read and understand electrical/pneumatic schematics.
Must possess the ability to diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
Must possess an excellent knowledge of basic hand tools.
Must possess strong mathematics and computer skills.
The pay for this position starts at $28 per hour and is eligible for an annual bonus.
