Henry J Meats, the world's leading manufacturer of Corned Beef Hash and Chicago style Italian beef, is seeking a skilled K-Pak Machine Operator to join their team in Chicago, IL.
If you have experience operating a packaging machine in a food manufacturing or sanitation environment and a mechanical aptitude, Henry J Meats wants to hear from you! K-Pak/Chub Making machine operation experience is highly preferred! Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required.

Take ownership of the K-Pak machine and lead the team. Henry J Meats will trust your expertise as you direct the machine operators and ensure the K-Pak machine is operating properly.

Experience variety in your day and never get bored! You will be cross trained throughout other areas of production, so you can grow your skillset.
Essential duties/responsibilities:
Be able to direct the 5–6-person team for daily production.
Assemble machinery and set up room for daily production.
Observe the operation and speed of the packing machine and make adjustments when necessary.
Clears jams and preforms advanced trouble shooting.
Provide suggestions for management for process improvements and increased production.
Ensure product is packaged properly and timely with no product or moisture leaking out.
Have keen attention to detail.
Maintain a clean and safe work area, deposing of excess materials.
Prepare all pre-operational paperwork and ensure HACCP forms are completed before start-up.
Perform clip checks and seal checks.
Monitor chubs to ensure proper weight of products.
Make sure that the correct numbers of boxes are produced to complete each out-going load.
Disassemble the machine for cleaning and sanitize the production room daily.
