A metal shop provides fabrication services and offers powder coating, black oxide, e-coating, phosphate coating, zinc plating, CNC machining, pad printing and other related services seeking reliable Lead Painter with 1+ years of experiences and has worked in a manufacturing environment.
SUMMARY OF JOB:
The Lead Painter is a key role in a painting project, as they are responsible for ensuring that the painting job is on high quality and completed on time. Their duties include prepping and painting surfaces, matching paint colors, and using various techniques to achieve the desired effect.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead Painter maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
Lead Painter works well with team members
Lead Painter accurately follows instruction from Team Lead regarding daily work instructions
Lead Painter knows the painting process parameters for department
Lease Painter knows the basic functions, and maintenance of painting equipment lists, set-up the equipment listed on the Job
Traveler
Lead Painter knows how to use Powder Handgun, Automatic Powder Gun, Wet Paint Application, and Paint Pots/Powder Hopper
Properly operate the Painting Equipment in the production department, understands when equipment is not operating properly,
effectively communicate equipment concern to Team Leader
Lead Painter knows how to read and identify the proper paint per the Job Traveler
Lead Painter knows the Painting & Quality Requirements and how they might relate to production procedures
Lead Painter understands "Job Traveler" and how to use the stated information on it, Painting Process Procedures and parameters for
order being processed, and knows if there are Special Instructions
Lead Painter understands how to identify part labels on containers and match them with Job Traveler
Lead Painter participates in maintenance activities in production department
Lead Painter understands "Non-Conforming / Reject" parts and what to look for and notify the Lead Packer of Quality Concerns
Lead Painter demonstrates proactive ability to report Quality and Mechanical Concerns to the Team Lead
QUALIFICATIONS:
HS Diploma / GED and technical training preferred
1+ years experiences working in a manufacturing environment
Ability to work independently and in a team with excellent time management skills
Good communication and organizational skills
Person is required to talk, hear, walk and stand, sit, carry, kneel, reach, climb, and handle materials and lift up to 20lbs.
Requires clear vision at close distances and adjust focus
Exposure to chemicals, paint, and machinery in an industrial facility
Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Bilingual (English / Spanish) is important in this role
PAY RATE RANGE FROM 18.00 TO 20.00 PENDING ON SKILL SETS AND WORK HISTORY.
