We are seeking a full time Purchasing Assistant.
Key Responsibilities Include:
-Entering new purchase orders
-Submitting Requests for Quotes from vendors
-Generating weekly inventory reports
-Establish and maintain relationships with vendors
-Communicating with vendors to confirm and track orders
-Resolve shipment issues relating to orders
-Maintain stock levels and identify purchasing needs
-Resolve issues internally with Sales, Receiving and Accounting departments.
-Maintain spreadsheets, purchase records and all documentation for all orders placed.
Qualifications include: Strong communication skills including customer service focus, strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, strong understanding of supply chain procedures, proficient in Windows/Microsoft
Office Suite. Manufacturing and steel products experience is preferred but not required.
