Office Manager

Seeking an independent contractor 1099 gig worker for a consulting position as an office manager in a home office.

Position requires someone very organized and detail oriented.

Duties require someone who can learn quickly and problem solve on their own without ongoing guidance.

Looking for someone smart, dependable, communicative and creative. You will handle real estate negotiations, property management and administrative duties at an informal two-person office with cats.

This is an in-person position in the suburb of Woodridge.

This is a contract position. This is NOT a W2 position. There are no benefits.

Hourly rate is $15-$20 depending on experience.

Hours will range from 10 to 20 per week. This is NOT a full time position. Hours can be flexible. Prefer 10am-4pm three days a week.

Must have experience prioritizing, calling, texting, emailing, researching, negotiating and bookkeeping.

Prefer experience with Quickbooks, Google Workspace, and the real estate industry.

Office manager will be responsible for paperwork from five different small businesses.

Duties:

- Open and sort mail

- Contact vendors, partners and others to research bills and notices.

- Create and manage an efficient workflow for three different companies

- Split time between tasks

- Handle communications with customers, tenants and others

- Communicate through phone calls, texts and emails in a professional and courteous manner

- Organize and maintain physical and digital files and records

- Track and categorize income and expenses

- Monitor, track and send invoices and payments

Requirements:

- Proficiency in Google Workspace like Gmail, Google Docs, etc.

- Proficiency in QuickBooks

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

- Excellent time management skills

- Knowledge of proper phone etiquette

- Professional communication skills

- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
