APEX Wood Floors is a nationally recognized leader in design and innovation of high-quality, handcrafted hardwood flooring for over 35 years, seeks a full time Admin Assistant to join our dynamic team.
In this newly created entry-level role, your skills in project organization and your attention to detail will serve you well as you learn our business and support efforts to achieve our mutual goals. This is a unique opportunity for a savvy, motivated individual who has some related work experience (ex., project management or administrative support in an entrepreneurial environment.)

1. A minimum of 1 years’ related work experience (ex., project management or administrative support in an entrepreneurial environment)

8. Solid grasp of workplace discretion and appropriateness. Understands boundaries and respects the confidential nature of the work performed for project stakeholders that include architects, builders, design vendors and luxury clients.
9. Enjoys engaging with a diverse range of professional contacts (ex., design industry professionals, tradespersons and vendors, current and potential clients).

11. Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle enabling work at two office locations (Lombard and downtown Chicago / River North).
12. ‘No-drama’ personality, with a service heart (pitches in to do whatever it takes to ensure success.)

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Support president, sales and production teams with administrative and some client/vendor relations.
2. Work on multiple opportunities and tasks simultaneously; able to ‘course correct’ promptly when workload and project direction require it.
3. Software used in this role includes: MS-Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), JobTread CRM software (training provided), QuickBooks Online familiarity is a plus.
4. Understand and maintain standards around the firm’s filing and storage protocols
5. Act as ‘scribe’ as requested for meetings; prompt transcription and dispensation of meeting notes.
COMPENSATION & TERMS:
1. Comp package commensurate with experience/qualifications.
2. This is a part-time position with the possibility of growing into a full-time role. Daily schedule start and end hours is open for discussion.
3. This position will be split between our downtown Chicago/River North showroom and Shop in Lombard, with a driver’s license and reliable vehicle required. Work-from-home days can be determined after onboarding is complete.
