Job Summary:
Crafted By Cohen LLC, family-owned construction and remodeling company, is seeking a skilled Lead Carpenter with comprehensive expertise in all facets of carpentry to oversee residential remodeling projects. This role is ideal for a professional who excels in both hands-on carpentry work and project management, capable of leading projects from initiation to completion while ensuring high standards of workmanship and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of carpentry work on residential projects, including decks, bathrooms, and kitchens. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Supervise and coordinate activities of any subcontractors or additional staff involved in projects. Provide training and support as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during projects. Communicate effectively to understand client needs, provide regular updates, and manage expectations.
Lead the planning and execution of projects, including scheduling, material list, and task delegation.
Monitor compliance with building codes and safety regulations. Conduct regular inspections and implement quality control measures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven expertise in a wide range of carpentry tasks, including framing, trim work, and finishing.
Must own a full set of professional carpentry tools necessary to perform various tasks.
Demonstrated ability to lead a team, manage projects, and coordinate with subcontractors effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of addressing unexpected challenges and adjusting plans as necessary.
High school diploma or equivalent required; further education or certifications in carpentry, construction management, or related fields preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of carpentry experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or project management role.
Work Environment:
This role involves both office-based project management tasks and on-site carpentry work. Must be capable of performing physically demanding tasks and working in various weather conditions.
Compensation:
