The Sign Shop Assistant is a key role within the company and assists the entire company with daily tasks. The key functions of this role are
- Assist lead installer with sign installations. This includes getting tools and supplies ready, assisting in actual installation of signs, clean up at job site, and more. Must be Ok with heights.
-Operate equipment including CNC router, engraving machines, and traditional woodworking tools
- Keeping shop clean and in order
- Keeping fleet clean and taking in for oil changes and general maintenance.
-Timely fabrication with an eye on the delivery dates set by project managers and management team
Pre-press production file set up using graphics programs as necessary
Painting - brush/roller
Finish assembly using hardware and chemical adhesives
Assist installation team when necessary at locations outside of shop
Daily housekeeping of shop and workstations
Perform all additional tasks as required by Fabrication & Production Lead or Production Manager
Experience/Training/Education/Certifications and other job specifications:
Sign Industry knowledge desired
Finish carpentry skills helpful
Review design plans and order documents for accuracy to production
Experience with machine tools
-Ability to lift and carry 60 +/- pounds

- Attention to detail and accept ownership of all tasks assigned
- Perform all duties in a manner consistent with the spirit of teamwork
