Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Wood Shop Manager located in Chicago, IL. The Wood Shop Manager will oversee daily operations, manage inventory and store resources, and ensure workplace safety standards are maintained. They will coordinate schedules, supervise team members, and manage customer interactions. Additionally, the role involves maintaining high standards for customer experience and addressing client inquiries in a professional manner.
Qualifications:
Strong communication skills to effectively engage with team members and cients
Able to use up-to-date software to create shop drawings
Experience in scheduling, project management, and design meetings with owners and architects
Ability to lead and supervise teams while fostering a collaborative work environment
Familiarity with woodworking tools, materials, and shop safety protocols is a plus
Organizational skills and problem-solving abilities
Prior experience in a similar management role or related field is preferred
