## Job Overview
Refrigerated and hazardous material transportation company is seeking highly motivated, self driven, dedicated and organized individual to join our team. The Safety Manager will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees by implementing and maintaining safety protocols and procedures.
## Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- File, obtain and keep current all hazardous permits
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks
- Investigate accidents or incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
- Provide safety training to employees and emergency response procedures
- Maintain records of all safety-related incidents, training sessions, and inspections
- Collaborate with management to address any safety concerns or issues promptly
## Skills
- Strong knowledge of USDOT and FMCSA rules and regulations
- Strong knowledge in handling refrigerated and hazardous freight shipments
- Strong knowledge of HOS and ELD
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations
- Experience in workers' compensation processes and procedures
- Proficient in report writing for incident investigations and safety documentation
- Familiarity with EPA regulations related to workplace safety
- Ability to develop and deliver effective safety training programs
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and requirements
- Experience in training development for safety programs
- Ability to fabricate solutions for safety equipment or protocols

Experience:
Transportation Safety Manager: 2 years (Required)
Reefer, Hazmat transportation company (Preferred)
