In this role as a Senior Manager Production, you will report to the Senior Manager Production and will be primarily responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of all shifts of one or more manufacturing production lines. As a member of the Manufacturing Operations team, you will need to have a growth mindset, promote continuous improvement, and help build a defect-free culture. Managing staffing, development, and performance management programs for operations staff; managing, motivating, and developing management team.

Overseeing operations activities, ensuring that safety, and schedules and performance requirements are met, and system resources are used effectively.

Monitoring overall operations performance and implementing production safety, cost, and quality control mechanisms.

Ensures the compliance of all regulatory guidelines and forges a safe and sound manufacturing environment.

Conducts and directs quality reviews. Develops programs for motivating employees to meet or exceed quality goals.Analytical Thinking : Approaches a situation or problem by defining the problem or issue and determining its significance. Makes a systematic comparison of two or more alternative solutions. Uses flow charts, Pareto charts, fish diagrams, etc. to disclose meaningful data patterns. Identifies the major forces, events and people impacting and impacted by the situation at hand. Uses logic and intuition to make inferences about the meaning of the data and arrive at conclusions.Planning and Organizing : Raises awareness of potential bottlenecks and disruptions to the schedule. Breaks tasks into manageable steps that can be incorporated into a personal work plan. Escalates concerns over competing or conflicting priorities. Monitors progress continuously and adjusts tactics for handling situations on a case by case basis. Creates action plans that ensure the accomplishment of responsibilities.Performance Management : Ensures performance goals, checkpoints, and feedback focus on behaviors. Provides documented input to formal performance review conducted by manager. Observes individual performance and provides fair and objective feedback.Manufacturing Operations : Facilitates communications across departments to ensure a smooth workflow in the plant or facility. Evaluates the risks and safety hazards present in manufacturing operations. Supervises daily operations to ensure production targets and forecasts are achieved.Manufacturing Safety : Promotes workplace safety among supervisors and workers; communicates safety rules and regulations. Assesses and reports unusual or new safety hazards or violations; initiates corrective action. Ensures that all employees and contractors comply with relevant safety policies and regulations. Identifies new risks and collaborates with peers, subordinates, and support groups to develop solutions to mitigate issuesManufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies : Explains the rationale for procedures and standards in own area of responsibility. Participates in the implementation of manufacturing standards and procedures to one's own function. Provides feedback for improvement of procedures.Production Scheduling and Control : Describes key aspects of production control. Identifies types of problems that can affect production schedules. Lists major activities performed by production control staff.
