The IT Asset Planning Analyst works closely with all IT departments to fulfill development and production system requirements by maintaining control of internal IT projects and day-to-day IT operations. The IT Asset Planning Analyst is responsible for the timely review and resolution of projects and activities using analysis and judgement in conjunction with instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the job. Principle Accountabilities:
Assist in the creation and maintenance of internal documentation, standard operating procedures and best practices.
Analyze billings and evaluate costs by facilities to determine the best options for PCA.
Assist with financial processes such as reconciliation of software renewals, yearly capital, etc.
Order hardware and software as requested. Acquire and negotiate the best rates while ordering technology supplies for PCA.
Maintain internal software and associations to employees
Analize renewal contracts for software, hardware and other suppliers as received. Negotiate best deal for PCA during the renewal process
Procure hardware equipment such as circuits, headsets, other phone and desktop related equipment as per request.
Maintain, review and revise standard department owned policies.
Perform technology research and routine administrative duties as requested.
Know and follow policies and procedures of the company, share information that would benefit other members of the team and find ways to improve the delivery of service to our customers.

Decision Making:
The IT Asset Planning Analyst works under direct supervision to limited supervision reporting to the IT Asset Planning Manager . The skill set is based on advanced knowledge, education and experience level. The IT Asset Planning Analyst has latitude for independent decision making based on sound technological knowledge and understanding of corporate requirements and regulations. The individual is expected to use his/her knowledge and experience to gather relevant information, identify key issues and relationships, compare data from different sources, identify cause-effect relationships, and recommend solutions.
Interactions:
Internally, the IT Asset Planning Analyst works closely with both internal and external facing technology infrastructure and services. Support architects and engineers to fulfill development and production system requirements. Maintain control of internal IT projects and day-to-day IT operations.
Externally, the IT Asset Planning Analyst conducts discussions with vendors to review, renew, negotiate contracts, licensing, etc. Interaction with customers and vendors is governed by PCA’s business philosophy of meeting needs and exceeding expectations for customers and by PCA’s Commitment to Service of doing what’s right for our customers, focusing on strategies that add value and support growth, and keeping the promises that we make.
Position Requirements:
Education equivalent to a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology or Business. Comparable work experience considered.
3-5 years previous experience in IT asset planning and administration support.
Detail-oriented.
Strong working knowledge of computer systems such as Microsoft Office preferably with exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Experience handling multiple tasks simultaneously; assessing status and risk of assignments
Ability and desire to research technical options and apply technical knowledge to practical application
Able to work independently, effectively manage time and prioritize assignments, and achieve desired results.
Previous work experience as a member of a team, or a strong understanding of the importance of open communication and information sharing between team members.
Ability to create innovative solutions and responsive, proactive approach to assessing and resolving potential problems.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle numerous details, deadlines, and requests.
