It’s rewarding work, with an inspiring team, where every contribution matters.About the role:Our Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division currently has an opening for a Manager- Distribution position located in the Mossville, Illinois facility. This position provides guidance and supervision to ensure the accomplishment of distribution center goals, including those related to budget and cost structure.Job responsibilities will Include but are not limited to:

Making workflow decisions under the direction of management. Improving service levels and costs for distribution center operations.

Supervising and motivating distribution center employees through effective coaching and training, clear communication of job expectations, and positive reinforcement of exemplary performance; maintaining a positive distribution center working environment.

Implementing productivity, quality, and service standards. Resolving problems and identifying areas for improvements. Contributing performance data to strategic plans and reviews.

Ensuring all equipment receives preventative maintenance and repairs, as necessary.

Adhering to requirements and procedures for safety regulations.

Skill Descriptors:

Materials Handling and Management- Extensive knowledge of material handling and management in plants; ability to perform, monitor and improve processes related to storage, transportation, and handling of raw and hazardous materials.

Operational Functions- Working knowledge of major functional processes and associated operating requirements; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

Coaching Others- Working knowledge of coaching and mentoring concepts and methods; ability to encourage, motivate, and guide individuals in learning and improving effectiveness.

Leadership- Working knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing, and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there.

Problem Management Process – MFG- Working knowledge of manufacturing problem management processes, methodologies, and techniques; ability to use a disciplined approach to bringing that problem to a successful resolution.

Warehouse Management- Working knowledge of the policies, processes, and systems of warehouse management; ability to effectively manage one or more warehouses or distribution centers-

Distribution Center Management- Working knowledge of distribution processes, issues, and considerations; ability to effectively manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of inventory to stores and/or customers.

Customer Service Management- Basic understanding of customer service priorities and ability to utilize tools and techniques for maintaining an environment where all understand and are committed to providing excellent service to internal and external customers.
