Description We are seeking a Sales & Use Tax Accountant to join our team in Oak Brook, Illinois. In this role, you will be tasked with managing various tax-related tasks, primarily focused on sales and use tax. This role involves a significant amount of customer interaction and requires strong organizational skills.Responsibilities: Manage and complete sales and use tax filings in a timely manner Use Vertex Sales & Use Tax and Microsoft Excel to maintain accurate records and perform necessary tasks Ensure accurate e-Filing of tax documents Handle tax-related inquiries from customers Keep track of customer accounts and take necessary actions Use your experience with sales tax returns and monthly sales tax to ensure compliance and accuracy Handle tax matters related to rentals and parking, as well as county-related filings Resolve customer inquiries related to sales and use tax Keep up-to-date with external filings and ensure all filings are done on time. Requirements Applicant must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales and use tax accountant role or similar. Proficiency in preparing and filing Sales Tax Returns is essential. Must have experience in calculating and submitting Monthly Sales Tax. Comprehensive understanding and application of Sales Tax regulations is required. Proficiency in using Vertex Sales & Use Tax software is a must. Experience in e-Filing and handling External Filings is necessary. Excellent Microsoft Excel skills are required, including use of advanced functions for financial analysis and reporting.
