Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Oak Brook, Illinois. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the management and execution of various accounting tasks, including bank reconciliations and financial record keeping. Working as part of our finance team, you will be using financial software for recording, tracking, and reconciling financial transactions.Responsibilities: Conduct regular bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy and completeness of financial transactions. Utilize financial software for efficient financial management and ensure data accuracy. Maintain up-to-date financial records in compliance with accounting standards. Collaborate with other departments to obtain necessary financial information and ensure alignment with company-wide financial goals. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding financial transactions and discrepancies. Assist in the preparation of financial reports by providing accurate and reconciled financial data. Contribute to the generation of financial statements for management and regulatory reporting. Identify opportunities for process improvement in bank reconciliation procedures and propose solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial processes. Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and accounting records promptly. Organize and file financial documents for easy retrieval and auditing purposes.
