My family and I are seeking a quality PA or Caregiver to fill the following hours:
Saturday 3rd shift(11:00pm--8:00am)
Sunday 3rd shift(11:00pm-8:00am)
Ryan is a 33-year-old male adult and requires a lot of care but is patient and college educated. I live in North Peoria with my parents and am looking for help so both parents can work and sleep.
We are looking for someone to provide total assistance, anything you would do for yourself I need you to do for me. My disability is Muscular Dystrophy. No medical experience necessary but may be helpful, on the job training provided for all aspects of the job. Family and others with no medical background have been trained to take care of my needs, and so can you. You will be trained by a combination of current caregivers and family. The patient is mentally alert, he speaks normally.
There is no lifting all transferring is done using a ceiling lift. This is not a companion position, you will be actively working providing care and some basic housekeeping during your shift. We are needing someone who can learn quickly, be personable, stay alert, show up consistently, and be on time. You must be 18 or older, be a non-smoker, have your own transportation and be able to pass a background check.
Duties include: Feeding, transferring using a lift and sling, bathing, positioning in bed / wheelchair, giving medications.
This is an important job you need to be able to get enough sleep so you have enough energy to do the job.
