As one of the nation?s largest legal staffing providers, Hire Counsel has an immediate opportunity to work with a leading financial institution as a litigation paralegal in Riverwoods, IL. Hire Counsel is seeking an experienced litigation paralegal or junior attorney to work on a 18 month project with a leading financial institution. This role will require involvement in the full litigation life cycle. Responsibilities Include:Researches legal issues and presents findingsAbility to handle large caseload at one timeAnalyzes contracts, pleadings, statues, decisions, and other legal documentsDrafts legal documents with minimal attorney supervisionSupports the litigation team throughout all phases of the litigation processCommunicates and collaborates with outside law firms, consumers, and other third partiesCollaborates with in-house litigation team to identify and implement risk mitigation strategiesPrepare company witnesses to provide written and oral testimony for use at trial and depositionQualificationsAt least 5 years of litigation experience at a law firm or financial institution as a paralegal4 year degree or paralegal certificate required for paralegalsAttorneys should have a JD or LLM with 1 to 3 years of solid litigation experienceExperience in a law firm environment is preferred Project Details:Anticipated start date: July 2019Estimated duration: 18 months Hours: 9 to 5, 40 hours per weekLocation: Riverwoods, IL - must work on-sitePay rate: Competitive market rate
