Zimmerman Transfer Inc.is looking for a Diesel Mechanic to work in our shop located in Palmyra, Missouri.
Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 6:00am-3:00pm.
Compensation is based on experience.
Make major and minor repairs on trucks and trailers, including but not limited to: engine repairs and tune ups, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmission work, cooling systems, chassis repairs, brake work
Perform regular and preventative maintenance including inspections, oil changes, etc.
Perform diagnostic tests
Maintain accurate records of repairs performed
Maintain cleanliness in the shop

Requirements
Completed 2 year Diesel Mechanic certificate, prefered.
Ability to multi-task, work independently, and have strong attention to detail.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office, preferred.
Commercial Drivers License Class A with Tanker Endorsement, preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of diesel mechanic experience, prefered.
Advanced knowledge of a vehicle, its electrical system and the mechanisms of a diesel engine.
Ability to lift 50lbs or more
