The organization is a cross-functional team of Project Engineers, Circuit Engineers, Software Engineers, and Test Requirement Engineers. Our hardware engineers work closely with software and test requirements engineers in the same department, as well as product design engineers. Our team provides a shared service that supports the Program and Product teams, as well as Production facilities around the world.Eligible for relocationPrimary Responsibilities:

Conceptual and detailed electrical hardware design, analysis, documentation, procurement, and fabrication support for test solutions designed for Electric Systems products used in development, qualification, and production test environments.

This position requires the ability to interpret test requirements that define both the hardware IO and embedded software details of the unit under test as well as the test procedure and measurement boundaries used to determine successful test results.

Develop and maintain hardware documentation

Develop and improve hardware processes

Effective use of problem-solving skills and analytical thinking

Communicate effectively with team members, internal & external customers

Data analysis/investigation in support of robustness and yield improvement activities

Ability to work in a cross-functional team that includes project, circuit, software, requirement, manufacturing, and product engineers

Coaching and technical guidance to less experienced electrical engineers supporting development of test hardware.

Qualifications/Experience Needed:

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Preferred Qualifications:

MS Office applications,

Hardware/software integration with a good understanding of analog, digital, and power electronics circuits design and analysis.

Interfacing with outside suppliers to manage any instrument investigation/repair, or outsourced work.

Strong H/W troubleshooting skills.

Familiarity with PWB design methods, schematic capture software.

Experience using basic electronic instruments – scopes, meters, etc.

7+ years of experience as an electrical engineer

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
