So What is Credentialing and What Will I be Doing?

The main responsibility for this entry-level role is to manage the credentialing database and act as its primary administrator. The ideal candidate will enjoy a fast-paced team environment and work well with both team members, clients, and technology.

Credentialing is a process used to evaluate the qualifications and practice history of a doctor. This process includes a review of a doctor's completed education, training, residency, certifications and licenses.

Perform quality review of new client/provider applications received.

Enter new provider information and scan supporting documentation into the credentialing database.

Notify client/providers of missing information and/or applications through notification letters and phone calls.

Complete CAQH (Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare) profiles/updates.

Follow up on credentialing applications submitted to various networks.

Other duties as assigned and earned as progressing through the role and department tiers.

Required Skills and Experiences

Strong attention to detail.

Concrete organizational skills.

Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to multitask.

Know-how in Microsoft Word and Excel.

High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Experiences

Associates degree in business.

Experience in healthcare.

Experience using credentialing software.
