ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Limited Energy Estimator is responsible for p reparing complete limited energy electrical estimates of commercial, healthcare, mission critical, gaming, multi-family housing and light industrial projects including all quotations and subcontractors required for the project. A high degree of accuracy, communication, and attention to detail is required.
Accurately estimate labor, materials, and administrative costs for assigned projects.
Interface with designers, project managers, general foreman and others to resolve issues throughout the project.
Accurately interpret the design drawings submitted by engineers.
Utilize estimating software to properly estimate project.
Seek quotation of materials and subcontracts.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
5+ years experience in the commercial construction industry is preferred.
2+ years of limited energy estimating experience in commercial construction is required.
Experience with analyzing construction specifications/narrative and drawings to provide low voltage systems estimates and occasional design-build estimates.
Strong computerized estimating skills using an estimating software (Accubid, Procore, etc.).
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe/Bluebeam.
Competent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Effective problem-solving skills.
Effective time management skills.
Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers, and fax machines.
Employees are frequently required to sit, and occasionally required to kneel, reach, stoop, crouch or crawl.
This position requires the ability to lift files, open file cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.
This position may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
